Western Research Company, Inc. is Chosen to Participate in the NIH-CAP Program
Tucson, Az - October 27, 2004 - Western Research Company, Inc. (Tucson, Az) was chosen by the National Institutes of Health to participate in the NIH sponsored Commercialization Assistance Program (CAP). This program is aimed at helping companies who have been awarded SBIR Phase II grants to accelerate the development, demonstration, and commercialization of products or technologies resulting from those grants.

NIH designed this program specifically for those biotechnology and biomedical device companies that seek to accomplish one or more of following steps toward clinical products:

  • Find investors
  • Develop licensing opportunities
  • Establish strategic partners
  • Perform clinical trials and seek regulatory approvals

The program is managed, under a contract from NIH, by Larta Institute, a California based organization with a history of commercialization. Larta has considerable experience helping businesses accelerate the transition of cutting-edge technologies to the marketplace, and has helped companies raise over $1.5 billion in capital.
